Louis XVI mahogany chest featuring detailed hand carvings. Interlaced laurel adorns the two locking drawer fronts and side panels. The frame corners and extended bottom rail feature additional laurel decoration. The legs feature inverted flutes above carv.

Handsome addition

This Frenchy chest (made in Asia,isn"t everything?) fits perfectly between two living room windows and adds just the right touch of period elegance to our eclectic mix.Best of all it was roughly half Horchow's inflated price. A bit lightly constructed(no dust covers on the two drawers and the drawer slides are somewhat rough) as most Asian case pieces are. All in all,quite pleasing and a nice visual value for the price.
