This Frenchy chest (made in Asia, isn"t everything?) fits perfectly between two living room windows and adds just the right touch of period elegance to our eclectic mix.Best of all it was roughly half Horchow's inflated price. A bit lightly constructed(no dust covers on the two drawers and the drawer slides are somewhat rough) as most Asian case pieces are.
The lock on the top drawer arrived totally unfunctionable. Finally, after repeated tries to open it,our handyman sawed through the throw bolt with a fine hacksaw. No harm to the chest, just that the top drawer will never be able to be locked(it likely wouldn't have been anyway)
All in all, quite pleasing and a nice visual value for the price.
